Lead Therapist Program

Children’s Autism Center offers RBTs who are interested in pursuing Certification the opportunity to become Lead by working directly under an experienced BCBA to gain further knowledge about the field. Employees must be RBT certified however do not need to be enrolled in a graduate program.

The Lead role provides RBT with the opportunity to:

  • Further their knowledge in ABA procedures and principals and the use of multiple curriculums such as the VBMAPP, ABLLS-R and EDMS
  • Gain experience in working with a variety of learners with direct and indirect supervision
  • Maintain current programs and analyze progress to ensure generalization and maintenance

    Apprenticeship Program

    Children’s Autism Center offers our graduate students who are pursuing Certification the opportunity to become an Apprentice. Using the Apprentice Supervision Model developed by Hartley, Courtney, Rosswurm & LaMarca, employees who have completed a minimum of 750 supervised direct service hours and show superior clinical skills get paired with an experienced BCBA to prepare them for their upcoming role.

    The Apprentice role provides our students with the opportunity to:

    • Write treatment plans and assessment reports for new and existing patients
    • Learn and conduct assessments with multiple curriculums (VBMAPP, AFLS, ESDM etc)
    • Create programs for a wide variety of learners
    • Learn to conduct parent and staff supervision/training
    • Provide them with overall supervision for both direct and indirect services

      Natalija Milutivovis

      Natalija Milutivovis, M.ED, BCBA, LBA

      Chief Training Officer  

      Along with being a BCBA at CAC, Natalija is also head of the Lead & Apprentice program, serving as a mentor supervisor and trainer for graduate students who are completing their field work experience for the Board. Through the Program, she meets with her supervisees to establish short & long term goals, leads group meetings, help create applied projects and leads interviews with experts in the field.

      Outside of training, Natalija leads research projects at CAC in collaboration with Arizona State University (ASU) and also supervises staff and oversees ABA programs in Serbia utilizing tele-health services in order to increase awareness and understanding of ABA.

      Vanessa Johnson

      Vanessa Johnson, B.A., RBT

      Director of Training

      Vanessa has been providing ABA services at Children’s Autism Center for nearly 10 years and has worked as an RBT, Lead and Apprentice within the company. Vanessa received her BA in Psychology from Louisiana State University where she was a member of the LSU volleyball team. She completed her ABA coursework through Florida Institute of Technology and plans to to get her BCaBA certification.

      In her free time, Vanessa enjoys spending time with her husband and their two daughters, ages 8 and 4.

      Jen Bacon

      Jenn Bacon, RBT

      RBT Trainer

      Jenn is a Registered Behavior Technician and has been working in the field of ABA for over 15 years. She has worked with individuals of all ages from 18 months thru adults in a variety of settings from in clinic to community outings. She has a lifelong passion for helping others and educating. At CAC, Jenn enjoys teaching individuals about Behavior Analysis and Verbal Behavior.

      In her free time, Jenn enjoys watching tv and movies, especially science fiction, and playing games with her husband and son.
