Using a wide range of tools and interventions, we help children with autism learn to use and understand language.

Children’s Autism Center offers Speech Therapy at both our Round Rock & North Austin locations for children receiving ABA services as well as a stand-alone service for children not enrolled in our ABA programs. Our Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) specialize working with children in the areas of:

  • speech and language development
  • social communication skills
  • feeding difficulties
  • fluency of communication skills
  • use of augmentative and alternative communication modes

Our SLPs have experience working with children with a variety of developmental delays, disorders, and diagnoses that affect communication and feeding skills including apraxia, articulation disorders, phonological disorders, Autism, expressive language disorders, and receptive language disorders.

Our CAC Speech team is led by our dually certified Behavior Analyst and Speech Language

Pathologist, Katie Castro, and all team members receive training in ABA procedures, with most having previously received their Registered Behavior Technician credentials (RBT). This allows our SLPs to incorporate behavior-based strategies into therapy to maximize a child’s progress toward his/her goals. Our team strives to work collaboratively with all members of a child’s team, including occupational therapists, physical therapists, teachers, behavior analysts, caregivers, and school based SLPs.

CAC Speech is in-network with a variety of insurance providers, including: Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Humana, and United Healthcare (UHC & UMR). We also offer a private pay option.
