Registered Behavior Therapist (RBT)

Duties & Responsibilities:

Implementation of ABA and behavior management programs under the supervision of a BCBA in the clinic, classroom, or home setting
Data collection on implemented ABA and Behavior programs
Completion of RBT certification and training modules
Flexibility in working with a variety of clients
Effective communication skills with various staff members, parents, and administrative staff
Maintaining confidentiality policies set by the Board and Children’s Autism Center and understanding HIPPA Regulations
Able to work in an active environment that may require lifting up to 30 pounds

Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED required (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
Desire to work with children
RBT certification preferred but not required- must be able to obtain RBT certification through our training program within 30 days of employment
COVID Vaccination optional

Apprentice Program

Children’s Autism Center provides exemplary supervision for future behavior analysts using the Apprentice Supervision Model developed by Hartley, Courtney, Rosswurm & LaMarca (2016). Using this model, competitive employees who have completed a minimum of 750 supervised direct service hours and have shown superior clinical and analytical skills transition into an apprentice role (paid) working closely with an experienced CAC behavior analyst on the administrative duties involved in therapy programming. The apprentice program allows mutual benefits for both the apprentice and the experienced behavior analyst by:

Affording the apprentice invaluable training on critical skills necessary to transition into a BCBA role (e.x. supervising therapists, treatment planning, report writing, etc.)
Allowing supervising behavior analyst more time to focus on supervising and analyzing client programs by reducing analyst’s administrative load
Increasing job satisfaction for both parties
Systematizing and streamlining the supervision process by offering a collaborative experience where expectations are upfront and clear, reciprocal evaluations are implemented, and BACB Experience Standards criteria is met.
